More than half of Mexico City’s population use the subway to travel from the suburbs center and viceversa. This ever-growing flow requires multiple efforts. After the last train starts its journey, diverse crews of workers are responsible for maintaining and repairing tracks, stations, terminals and tunnels. Their work is essential, but almost invisible. This documentary pays tribute to these workers.

Hugo Chávez Carvajal studied ethnology at the National School of Anthopology and obtained a master’s degree in visual anthropology at FLACSO-Ecuador. In 2007, he filmed the short documentary Duelos, in 2008 Ojo Escoba and in 2015 Obsolescence, made with the support of the FONCA and the PROCINE, with which he obtained mention of the jury in AcampaDoc, Intimate Visual Lens Film Festival and the best script award at Etno Film Zlatna.
