Rodrigo Ruiz Patterson was born in Mexico City in 1987. Graduated from the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica with his thesis Australia,nominated for the Ariel Award in 2017. He is a scriptwriter and director of the short films: Paradisio and Neapolitan Arrangement presented at more than 20 national and international festivals. He co-directed the documentary, Bad Hombres which premiered at the Morelia International Film Festival 2019. Blanco de verano, his first fiction feature film, premiered at the World Cinema Dramatic Competition of Sundance 2020.
