Geovanny is 25 years old and became a murderer when he was 12. He was a ruthless hitman for the 18th Street gang and nowadays he is serving his 35-year sentence in an isolation cell in El Salvador. In prison, he withdrew from the gang and joined an evangelical church that lavished God's forgiveness on him. However, there is a sin that is not forgivable for either the gang or the church: Geovanny is gay.

Marlén Viñayo is a documentary filmmaker based in El Salvador working in film and TV as director and producer. Her feature-length debut Cachada (2019) was awarded at the SXSW Film Festival and DocsBarcelona, Unforgivable (2020) is her second film and was awarded best International short documentary at Hot Docs 2020.
