After the first failed attempt of brewing mezcal, Marcelo Castro and his family became the perfect hosts with their craft wines made at El Nidal: an ecoturistic project located on the west of the San Felipe mountains —which is now a mandatory stop in the Guanajuato wine route. They are also comitted to good eating and their open kitchen offers unique dishes by local cooks.
Michael James Wright founded the Guanajuato based production company Lanzando Lázaros and has a Master’s degree in Arts and Photographic Projects Production from the European University of Madrid. Ashley Fell is a Rice University Houston Visual Arts and Art History graduate and cofounder of Lanzando Lázaros.
