Accessing the American Dream is still not possible for everyone, much less those who come from migrant backgrounds. For undocumented youth, their hopes for the future coexist with permanent fear of deportation, either for themselves or their families. This film is a window inside the hearts and minds of the undocumented and these young Dreamers.
Carlos Hagerman’s films include Those Who Remain (2009), Vuelve a la vida (2010) and No Place Like Home (2015). Jorge Villalobos is a writer and director; his short films and television series have won over 20 international awards; he is also author of three illustrated books. They are both founders of Brinca Animation Studio.
