In 2019, underdog boxer Jair Valtierra defeated the Latin WBC champion, thus becoming the first champion from his city: León. This documentary portrays the fighter from the point of view of those who know him, as he prepares for his first title defense.

He studied Film Direction at the Universidad del Cine of Buenos Aires. He also studied under Abbas Kiarostami at the EICTV in Cuba. In 2016 he founded the production company Fásma Cine. He directed the short films Laguna and Cuba WiFi; the documentaries Talamontes and De masa y carne; and the docuseries Panzas Verdes.
