A traumatic event —a suicide attempt— breaks a family’s everyday life. Their lives fundamentally change, as if they were waging a war invisible to everyone else. The source of the story is autobiographical, it is addressed in the film and highlighted by the fact that the author/director plays himself.

Juraj Lerotić
He studied at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb, Department of Film and TV Directing. Then I See Tanja (2010), premiered at the IFF Rotterdam and was broadcast on ARTE. Safe Place (2022) was selected at Locarno FF and Sarajevo FF; it won the Heart of Sarajevo for Best Film, the Best Actor award, along with the Best Emerging and Best Actor awards at Locarno.
