In an alternate reality in which Mexico won the Mexican American War of 1848, the roles have reversed. The peso is king and the New Mexican president is building a wall to keep Americans out. Billy Bob is a "coyote", a trafficker of Americans looking for better opportunities south of the border. Jesse, Megan and another American are going to attempt to cross the border putting their lives at risk. As they cross, the Mexican Militia, armed to the teeth, stops them. They have one sole duty: stop illegal anglo immigrants at any costs.
