Firearms are part of everyday life for 14-year-old Tavo and his friends. Since they are part of the Community Police of Ayahualtempa, the line between playing and weapons has been completely erased. They practice their shooting skills and the only time they leave their weapons is when playing basketball. In this indigenous town, threatened by a criminal group that wants to take control of their land, children ensuring the safety of their community is a daily reality.

Venezuelan filmmaker based in Mexico. He has a degree in Social Communication from the Andrés Bello Catholic University. Bolas Criollas was selected in more than 15 international festivals and his documentary series Nunca jamás en Venezuela won a Suncoast Emmy. He is currently developing the feature film Bala perdida.
